Wimbledon
U16 Invitation Team Tournament - Staffs
again took part in the above event at the Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness
Club in London. This year it was going to be an altogether tougher
proposition with a much less experienced team, only half of which
had the benefit of the ICT experience just a few weeks before.

York Team Challenge - Thanks
to the players for making it a very enjoyable weekend, we came 4th,
which is a brilliant achievement, you should be very proud of the
performance from our Staffordshire team, we seem to be going from
strength to strength.
There were some really memorable moments out there:- Harini and Matt
holding here nerve to clinch Staffs a 4-3 victory in the 1st match

v Streetley Juniors
- In a friendly match of 34 singles and 15 doubles, involving 10 players
from each area, Lichfield juniors came out top, winning 24 singles
and 10 doubles. Lichfield players Nick Novikov & George Monk went
thro the day undefeated, with a very creditable performance from Alice
Arnstein who won her 4 singles and 2 out of 3 doubles. Well
done Lichfield!! |

15 v Derbyshire Sunday 7 February 2010 -
Though we lost 6 - 14 all the team played to the best of their abilities,
but on the day were beaten by a stronger, older team. All the players
left with a smile on their faces after enjoying the competition.
Staffs picked up wins in 3 of the boys singles, 1 of the mixed and
2 of the boys doubles.
